PALITANA JATRA

11th and 12 February 2023, the days we all will never forget in our life. Every year we plan a different picnic. But this year we planned a religious trip and Fun together. We planned 3 Tirth Jatra: 

1. Manilaxmi Tirth near Vadodra.
2. Ayodhyapuram near Palitana.
3. The Palitana Tirth.

First day we started early morning at 5:00, after doing seva-pooja in Bhensavahi temple (our Hostel in village), to Manilaxmi. We reached there around 8:00 a.m. and did Darshan-Chaityavandan and Navkarsi.  After that the kids had great fun roaming around in the mini-train inside the Manilaxmi temple premises. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. Around 10:30 we started towards Ayodhyapuram Tirth. We reached there around 12:30. First we did Guruvandan to Aacharya Maharasaheb and other Maharasaheb. All Maharasaheb welcomed us warmly and made us feel very comfortable. They preached to all of us and asked us about our Hostel routine. Upon knowing that, all Mahatma became glad and blessed us.

Around 3:00 p.m. we started towards The Palitana Tirth and reached Palanpuri Dharamshala at 4:45. We took our rooms and a big Hall for the children to stay. At 5:45 we went for Chovihar and after that we went to Jumbudeep, which is next to our Dharamshala and near Taleti. We had all different kinds of experience there through Video show and open ground explanation about Jainism belief of geography etc.

After that at night 8:15 we went to the Taleti of The Palitana. We all sang a lot of jain Stavan for 1 and half hour at Taleti.  

2nd Day at 5:30 we started climbing The Palitana. We went there from Navtook and we prayed everywhere. On the way to the Main Tuk of Aadeshwar Dada, we went to “Pap-Punya ni Bari”. All the Children and teachers had great fun passing through it. At the end we reached to “The Aadeshwar DADA Tuk”. It was a great feeling. We did Pakshaal Pooja and other Pooja to different Gods. Around 12:00 we started coming down to our Dharamshala. We reached around 1:15 and were welcomed with Lemon juice followed by Lunch. Around 3:40 p.m. we started towards Ayodhyapuram for Chovihar and then after 2 hours we headed back to our Hostel. We reached back at around 1:30 at night. 

The entire trip in Bus and Tempo travel, kids had great fun and they enjoyed it fully. 

This trip was very successful because of the help by all the teachers and trustee and lots of blessings by many Guru Bhagvant.

Mr. Viralbhai Vashantbhai Loladiya who joined us as volunteer in this trip. He knows The Palitana in a much better way and because of him we didn’t miss anything. 

We also thank  “Jain Prem Bhakti Group” from Walkeshwar for their Manilaxmi Tirth Navkarsi sponsorship (11850 Rs.) through Jyotiben Jagdishbhai Shah. We have not asked for donation from anyone for this trip. But “Jain Prem Bhakti Group” is slightly different. This group is an all women group and every year they collect a small amount from each and do such great donations and help the needy people. This group has around 200 members. We pray to God that they grow much more and do a lot of noble activities.
